Head Princess Judge, Summer Barea, Omaha Nation, will welcome princess candidates at the powwow on September 21. Princess Contest registration will begin at 11 a.m.
Princess contest requirements:
- Be female age 12-18 years of age.
- Be in school, graduated or an alternative educational program.
- Be unmarried and have no children.
- Be in full regalia (eagle plume is not required).
- Not be currently representing any other group or powwow.
- Be able to travel and represent the Fort Omaha Intertribal Powwow and help promote Metropolitan Community College during the upcoming year.
- Plan to participate in the 34th Annual Fort Omaha Intertribal Powwow in 2025 for the entire day to serve as reigning princess and help to crown the next princess.
- Both the candidate and her parent or guardian must sign the application.
