Curriculum Design Studio

The Curriculum Design Studio serves as an ongoing resource for faculty who are engaged in the process of creating or revising curriculum. The CDS coordinator partners with the Center for Learning Effectiveness, Assessment and Research and the Faculty Development coordinator and is a member of the Institute for Faculty Excellence team, which provides a variety of resources designed to support student learning and improve instruction. The Curriculum Design coordinator also works closely with Instructional Design Services and academic administration.

CDS consults with faculty and provides assistance on a variety of topics and projects, including:

  • Syllabi

  • Learning goals and objectives

  • Assignment design

  • Lesson plans

  • Alignment of materials, activities and assessments

  • Course outlines 

  • Technology enhancements for campus, remote, hybrid and online learning

  • Quality Matters and other best practices for design and delivery

  • Copyright and plagiarism

  • Research assistance

  • Program curriculum and mapping
