MEDIA ALERT: MCC to showcase horticulture garden and herbal remedies at 2023 Garden Walk
 
Metropolitan Community College will join a group of organizations participating in North Omaha Summer Arts’ 2023 Garden Walk. The free event invites the public to visit spaces near North 30th Street to experience flower and vegetable gardens and meet community gardeners, farmers and conservationists. 

Beginning at 9 a.m. at the Fort Omaha Campus, the College’s horticulture department will provide tours garden of its garden, located outside Building 29. In Building 21, visitors can take in a First Nations display featuring Bluebird Cultural Initiative will take place in Building 21, along with Megan Schnitker of Lakota Made LLC making a presentation about herbal remedies. Refreshments will be provided.
