Metropolitan Community College is part of a nation-wide program sponsored by Mopar Career Automotive Program (Mopar CAP) to train and employ entry-level automotive technicians for its Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram dealerships. The MOPAR® CAP or MCAP) hands-on learning experience at MCC provides exclusive training for Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge, Ram and FIAT® products, as well as cutting edge Chrysler diagnostic technologies and service information. With these skills, you'll be in higher demand. You can earn and learn, with our flexible educational paths, scholarship opportunities, and tool discounts.

    • Summer quarter, second session starting July 12 2024
  • Days of the week:
    • Monday - Thrusday
  • Class Times:
    • 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Rotating Schedule:
    • First quater on MCC campus, second quater at dealership, etc.
  • Dealership Sponsorship:
    • Requires sponsorship by dealership or repair facility of paid Automotive Dealership Experience.

JOB & SALARY OUTLOOK

Prior to submitting your application, please make sure you have met or will meet the following requirements.

  1. Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
  2. Driver's License: Applicant is required to have a valid driver's license
  3. Driving Record: Each applicant is required to have a good driving record.

If you have one

With the guidance of the program instructor(s), students are expected to contact dealership to arrange interviews until a suitable sponsorship site has been found. The Automotive Dealership Experience provides students with paid hands-on learning internships in the second, fourth, sixth and eighth terms. The average time for a student to secure a dealership sponsorship is from one to three months.

ASE Certifications and Mopar Level 2 Certification

To train future Automotive Technicians from introductory to advanced automotive diagnosis and repair in the areas of engine repair, automatic transmission/transaxles, manual drive train and axels, suspension and steering, brakes, electrical/electronic systems, heating and air conditioning, and engine performance.
