Scholarship Title and Eligibility Requirements


Yearly—spring and fall

Four scholarships will be awarded to students pursuing an automotive themed major. Two scholarships will be awarded every spring semester, followed by two additional scholarships to be awarded for the fall semester each year. Visit AmericanMuscle's Student Scholarships for more information.


March 15

The Horatio Alger Association is pleased to announce that its Honeywell scholarship program for students studying in the fields of STEM at both Honeywell partner schools and Horatio Alger Collegiate Partner institutions is once again available. 
We will be awarding 10 scholarships at $10,000 each to students pursuing STEM degrees who have critical financial need ($55,000 or less family income) and who are current freshmen who have successfully completed their first fall semester.

June 15

Graduating high school seniors who will be pursuing post-secondary CTE studies this fall may be eligible for up to $2,500 to pursue a career or technical certificate/associate’s degree. By completing a 45-minute application, they will be considered for one of 1,020 scholarships being awarded.

Lincoln Community Foundation—The Lincoln Community Foundation is a nonprofit community resource that helps people extend the power and impact of individual charitable giving. The Foundation currently manages approximately 70 different scholarship funds, which have been established by caring donors who have a commitment to higher education and wish to provide opportunities and assistance to students who want to further their education. NAWIC - The Greater Omaha Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction offers annual college scholarships. To be a recipient, students must be enrolled in a construction related degree program at an accredited institute of higher education at the time of disbursement.  Visit National Association of Women in Construction for more information.


Various deadlines

P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund—The P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund makes loans available to qualified women who desire a higher education and are in need of financial assistance.  A woman is eligible to receive consideration for a loan if she: 1. is recommended by a local chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, 2. is a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States or Canada and 3. is a high school graduate (or equivalent). Visit P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund for more information.

P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education - This grant program provides financial assistance to women whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to school to support themselves and/or their families.  They must demonstrate a need for financial assistance with their educational expenses to improve their marketable skills for employment.  A woman is eligible to apply for a grant provided she: 1. is sponsored by a P.E.O. chapter, 2. is a citizen of the U.S. or Canada, 3. has had at least 24 consecutive months as a non-student sometime in her adult life, 4. is within 24 consecutive months of completing her educational goal, 5. is not enrolled in a doctoral degree program, e.g., educational, law, medical or clinical, and 6. is enrolled in an educational program leading to employment or job advancement.
