Media alert: MCC to host 35th annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration

What: Metropolitan Community College will host the 35th annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, an event that will feature keynote speaker Cynthia M.A. Butler-McIntyre, national president of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. The celebration will also feature musical entertainment from Ananias “Markey” Montague, minister of music and fine arts from Salem Baptist Church.

When: Wednesday, Jan. 15, noon-1:30 p.m.

Where: Swanson Conference Center inside the Institute for the Culinary Arts, Fort Omaha Campus, 32nd Street and Sorensen Parkway.

Background: Registration for the event is closed. There will be no tickets sold at the door.
