Students may use the Financial Counseling Specialist Career Certificate as a pathway to further their Business education in completion of the following Certificates and Degrees:

Learning Goals
- Apply ethical reasoning, based on the CFP Boards Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct, to financial scenarios.
- Describe the financial planning process and determine factors relevant to the personal financial planning process.
- Identify the principle concepts of risk, risk management and insurance relative to asset preservation.
- Analyze investment tools and techniques to accumulate and preserve wealth.
- Evaluate the various tools and techniques of income tax, retirement and estate planning relative to wealth accumulation and preservation.
- Recognize the characteristics of various employee benefits relevant to the personal financial planning process.
- Formulate a financial plan that effectively demonstrates a comprehensive understanding, integration and application of the financial planning process.
