General MCC Scholarship Information.

MCC Military Student Books Scholarship

$200 scholarship used for textbooks and school related materials. Open to MCC students who are service members or veterans that have completed at least 9 credit hours and have a GPA of 2.50 or higher. Apply with MCC Scholarships online or contact mccvets@mccneb.edu for more information.

Vietnam Veterans Scholarship

$506 one time scholarship. Open to MCC student veterans or veteran dependents who completed at least 15 credits hours and have a 3.00 GPA or higher. The applicant must be a resident of Nebraska. OIF/OEF/OND veterans are encouraged to apply. Apply with MCC Scholarships or contact mccvets@mccneb.edu for more information.

Nebraska American Legion Scholarships

A variety of scholarships.

Nebraska State Tuition Waiver (Waiver of Tuition)

Waiver of Tuition is available to eligible veteran dependents. To begin the application process, contact the Office of Military / Veteran Services at 531-MCC-4619 or email mccvets@mccneb.edu.  Additional information is available at the Nebraska Waiver of Tuition program website.

American Legion Scholarships for Dependents of Fallen Service Members

The American Legion wants to ensure higher education is a possibility for children whose parents have been killed while serving our country. It is a civic duty to provide them with equal opportunity. The Legion offers its support through the Legacy Scholarship Fund.

Mission Continues Fellowships for Post-9/11 Veterans

Mission Continues awards community service fellowships to post-9/11 veterans, empowering them to transform their own lives by serving others and directly impacting their communities. Mission Continues Fellows serve for six months at a local nonprofit organization addressing key educational, environmental or social issues. Each Fellow works to achieve one of three outcomes at the conclusion of the fellowship: full-time employment, pursuit of higher education or a permanent role of service.  For more information, see the Mission Continues Fellowship website.

Troops to Teachers

Troops to Teachers is a U.S. Department of Education and Department of Defense program that helps eligible military personnel begin new careers as teachers in public schools where their skills, knowledge and experience are most needed.

Tillman Military Scholars Program
The Pat Tillman Foundation's Tillman Military Scholars program supports our nation's active and veteran Servicemembers and their families by removing financial barriers to completing a degree or certification program of choice.  The scholarships cover not only direct study-related expenses such as tuition and fees, but also other needs, including housing and child care.​
