Patrick "Brit" Ward Memorial Scholarship
Patrick “Brit” Ward Memorial Scholarship was established in 2026 by the Iron Order Motorcycle Club in memory of Patrick “Brit” Ward. Patrick Ward was born in 1965 in Portsmouth, England. After finishing high school, he began his career as an apprentice in the tool and dye trade. In January 1983, our paths crossed for the first time - a moment that would begin a lifelong journey together. Not long after, my father started an air conditioning business and invited Pat to join him. Pat quickly proved himself to be dedicated and skilled, working on projects between Portsmouth and London. As the business grew, so did Pat's passion for the trade.
In 1987, we moved to South Florida, where Pat saw the growing need for reliable and high-quality air conditioning services in the much hotter climate. He wasted no time getting to work, and through his relentless dedication and unmatched work ethic, he built a strong reputation in the community. Every job was completed to perfection - 110% effort was simply his standard.
Pat treated his tools with the utmost care, cleaning each one before returning it to its place. He never stopped pushing himself professionally, earning his sheet metal license and, later, his general contractor's license - accomplishments he was deeply proud of, and so were we.
Pat built more than a business - he built trust, respect, and a name that stood for quality. His legacy lives on in the many homes and families he helped over the years, and now through this scholarship, his spirit of hard work, craftsmanship, and integrity will continue to inspire the next generation of tradespeople.
